Hand Pleated Flower Making Workshop

This is beginners/intermediate workshop for people to learn how to create pleated flowers like the ones Lora makes in her work. Although Lora uses a pleating machine to make her pleats, for this class she will teach you how to create those pleats by hand, without a machine and attach them to a flat fabric.

In this two and a half hour online session participants will learn:

  • How to mark out your pleat pattern onto your fabric

  • How to hand pleat your flower fabric

  • How to use your material to construct a simple pleated flower and stitch in place on your fabric

Participants must have access to a computer with internet, a microphone and camera to do this workshop.
This workshop is for people with basic hand sewing skills.
