Victoria & Albert Museum In Practice - Online embroidery workshop

This is a one and a half hour class therefore it is for beginners level with some intermediate options.

Join multi-media embroidery artist Lora Avedian as we explore the versatile embroidery technique of ‘couching’ to create a floral motif inspired by the V&A collection. Couching stitch can be used with a variety of materials, and Lora will show how to use different materials to get different qualities of line and texture. This workshop is suitable for all levels of experience. 

This session will be held live on Microsoft Teams and will also be recorded. The recording will be emailed to ticket holders after the live event, and will be accessible for 5 days until midnight on Sunday 13 April2025. Please note: Materials are not included, a list of readily available materials will be sent to you in advance of the session
