This Hydrangea design cushion is inspired by the changing of the seasons, and uses a modern laser cutting in combination with traditional embroidery techniques to create a realistic looking design.
Through Lora’s work she has uses a combination of hand and machine embroidery with exquisite attention to detail. Each piece is totally unique and her combinations of materials reflect Lora’s training in mixed-media textiles at the Royal College of Art.
Dimensions 50 x 50cm, with duck feather pad filling.
Made from 100% Lithuanian linen, with a 1cm French seam edge. Freehand machine embroidered leaves combined with laser cut hydrangea flowers cut from hand painted silk and individually stitched in place by Lora.
